COLLEGE students and staff raised hundreds of pounds for charity as the Children in Need frenzy hit Doncaster College.

Students from Floristry, Hair and Beauty, Travel and Tourism, Business, Catering, Childcare, Health and Social Care plus many others all joined together and worked hard to raise cash.

The College’s Hub campus was filled with students dressed to impress many in onesies and fancy dress all enjoying the activities such as raffles, guess the weight of a cake, jelly beans in a jar, a song lyrics quiz, making buttonholes, selling flowers and many other activities.

A College spokesman said: ‘It’s great to see students getting involved in fundraising events like this. They have put a lot of effort into their activities and it all pays off when they see the amount of money raised.’

The pot is expected to rise as more money is expected to roll in from across the College’s sites.
