Following the success of the Apprenticeship Fair held in March as part of National Apprenticeship Week, Business Doncaster in conjunction with Doncaster Association of Training Managers (DATM) has announced a further 2 FREE events aimed at helping young people and their parents and carers to find out more about available career options. It will also be a chance to find out about current job vacancies, Apprenticeships, Traineeships and Work Based Learning.

The events will be held at the Trades Club, on the upper mall of Frenchgate, on Friday August 15 and Friday August 22 between 11am and 3pm.

There will be a number of exhibitor stands, such as training providers, further education colleges and career information stands as well as existing apprentices all geared towards helping you discover more about the different career paths available and how you can access them

Both events are open to anyone wanting to find out more about career options. You can pick up loads of information on a wide range of job and training opportunities and find out what is available and decide which career options is of most interest to you. There will also be the chance to register your interest with the team and be kept informed about local opportunities when they arrive.

Mayor of Doncaster, Ros Jones said: ‘Boosting the economy and jobs is one of the Council’s top priorities. Well over 200 people attended the last Apprenticeship Fair with many going on to secure work or begin training. These events play a big part in helping people choose the right career path and find new opportunities.’

‘They are a great opportunity for local people and I strongly recommend anyone to drop in any time between 11am and 3pm to find out more.’

Since April last year, the Business Doncaster team has secured more than 400 Apprenticeships for local individuals and supported hundreds more through training courses and into jobs.
