Leeds Lions Club assisted by Lions Clubs from Yorkshire and North Derbyshire will be out in force in Leeds City Centre on Sunday June 24th when they provide Marshalls for the Leeds 10 K Jane Tomlinson Run For All.

As one of the largest volunteer support groups for the event they will be marshalling the first four kilometres of the run which is almost exclusively Leeds City Centre.

8000 entries have been received so far for this new exciting major event which will bring a carnival atmosphere to the City, the run which is open to people of all abilities, and all ages whether they run, walk, wheel or watch, promises to be a fantastic charitable fun event.
The route gives participants the opportunity to take in the iconic City Centre landmarks Including City Square, Corn Exchange, Town Hall and the Headrow, the BBC is just one of the many media organisations which will attend, to promote the event and the City of Leeds

The event was launched in Leeds on January 24th by Jane Tomlinson MBE and she is the inspiration that has led from the start to build up and create the success as it is today, this is an event which is destined to match the Great North Run and possibly the London Marathon.

Lions Clubs are proud to have been asked to take part with this event and have been involved from the early stages, they hope that the public will support them with donations on the day as well as supporting the many other charities involved.

The organisers have stressed that this is a not for profit event.
