Oh no it isn’t……oh yes it is!

Panto fun will soon be on the way to around 150 children who attend Highfields Primary School, thanks to St Leger Homes of Doncaster.

The school’s local tenants and residents association (TARA), the Highfields TARA applied to St Leger Homes for a £600 grant and has just discovered it has been successful.

The money will pay for the youngsters’ tickets to watch the panto Beauty and the Beast, to be staged at the Dearne Playhouse Community Theatre in Goldthorpe, Barnsley.

Anne Pawson, chairman of the TARA, said: ‘The children haven’t been to a theatre with school for a number of years – it’s something we wanted to do for them and thanks to St Leger Homes we can now do this.’

Martin Musgrave, chief executive of St Leger Homes, said: ‘It’s a pleasure to make this donation to the TARA who want to treat the young people in the Highfields area. This again shows our commitment to the communities we serve.’
