The search is on for a young artist to open an event to be held at Doncaster Racecourse next year.
The Doncaster Federation of Tenants’ and Residents’ Associations is gearing up for its annual Tenants’ and Residents’ Day – called Unity in the Community - which will be held on March 13 next year. Now they are looking for a Doncaster youngster aged between 5 and 11 to do the honours and open the event.
The winning youngster will receive £25 in vouchers and their school will receive £100 of vouchers.
All youngsters have to do is submit a picture on A4 paper around the theme of unity in the community and put their name, age, phone number and school on the back. They can use paints, pencils, crayons, collages or any other material that they want to use. An independent panel of judges will select the winner.
Entries need to be sent to Doncaster Federation’s Tenants’ and Residents’ Centre, 40 St James Street, Balby Bridge, Doncaster, DN1 3BB. Deadline for entries is December 11.
