Hello and welcome to the December 2009 edition of the Villager.co.uk.

Well Christmas is almost upon us, and I don't know about you lot, but it doesn't feel very Christmassy yet - it must be all this snow we've been having - we're just not use to it i the run up to Christmas - it's not the usual occurrence is it?

Still it's been nice for the kids, and we've managed to get through it unscathed so far - hope that's the same for everyone else?

It's been very cold, here in Wakefield it registered -9C last night - so make sure you wrap up warm, make sure the pipes are lagged, and heating is left on, even if its just on low, and if you know any elderly folk who are on their own make sure you pop round and make sure they are okay, and give them a bit of company - and if you're an old one yourself, don't neglect the kids and grandkids too - they need you support just as much!

I hope Santa brings you all you wish for - and if there is anything I can do here at the Villager to make 2010 a great year, please get in touch.
