With response to the article posted by Jemma in December - Tickhill Float Disappointment

From time to time we do amend the route of the float. However unfortunately this year, due to the icy conditions on the roads it wasn't possible to take the float down all of the side roads we normally cover. On many occasions these side roads had not been gritted, and no through roads (such as Holly Croft Grove) were often in such poor condition that we regrettably could not take the float down due to concerns that we'd either get it stuck or risked damaging property as we turned the float round or reversed back out again. We're very sorry if this caused any disappointment.

Many thanks,
