Why not give your Mum a day out that she really deserves this Mothers’ Day and bring her
to Magna Science Adventure Centre? To celebrate Mothers Day 2010 Magna is giving free
entry all day to mums visiting on Sunday 14th March. This offer is available to all Mums
visiting and will be a saving of £9.95.
Why not treat you mum to lunch wile here at Magna? Our Fuel restaurant is open daily
from 10.00am – 5.00pm and with a special 'Mums Eat Free' offer* this is the perfect
chance to give mum a well deserved break.
Craft workshops will be taking place throughout the day offering children a chance to get
creative and make mum something she will really love!

Event: Reopening of Aquatek

Aqua-Tek re-opens for the warmer months! So bring along your towel and a change of
clothes and prepare to get wet.

Insomniacz, B2T, Neon Glam, Vicious Circle V Hi Oktane & Kiddfectious have teamed up to
bring you 5 Arenas of upfront Dance Music..
Insomniacz events are the talk of UK Clubland. This first event for 2010 takes Hard House
back to its roots. We also bring Dance Music right up to date with the very successful
Kiddfectious who will bring Hardstyle & Hard-Tech to the masses on April 3rd 2010.

The most amazing outdoor water play area in Yorkshire ‘Aqua-Tek’ will reopen on the 27th
March for the warmer months, so grab a towel and get wet! A special
Easter Egg Trail around the site will be available to all visitors (2nd—9th) and, along with
family drop craft activities in the Water Pavilion
throughout week day afternoons.

Event: Inside DNA Exhibition

developments in the fast-moving field of human genomics, and the ethical issues that they
raise.
Inside DNA is your opportunity to explore the developments and hear from leading
researchers. What are their views and experiences of genomic research? And what impact
will their research have on you and on your family's future?
Designed to provoke questions and stimulate debate, Inside DNA will encourage you to
explore issues such as the role of our genes and environment in our health, identity and
evolution. It delves into ethical questions such as whether genetic testing will lead to
discrimination, who will benefit most from genetic medicines, and the role of DNA
databases.

Event: Museums at Night

Delve further into the heart of this vast steelworks and join a behind the scenes steelworks
tour, as Magna takes part in Museums at Night.
The evening will be led by a tour guide and will conclude with a pie and pea supper in the
Fuel Restaurant.

Event: Joe Bonamassa Plays Magna
When: 29th May 2010
Details:
Joe Bonamassa is one of the premier Blues/Rock guitarists on the planet and he is also
evolving into a singer-songwriter of stylistic depth and emotional resonance. His ability to
connect with live concert audiences is transformational. Joe Bonamassa was discovered
by blues legend BB King at the age of twelve and hasn't been off the stage ever since. This
culminated in the 2009 sold out Royal Albert Hall performance showcased in the recent 2-
DVD release 'Live from the Royal Albert Hall'.
Please note, the event is standing only, with an area allocated for wheelchair users.
