With the start of Doncaster iFestival next week, Success Doncaster is encouraging residents of Doncaster to make today the day they turn their innovative idea into a reality.

The Doncaster Council run programme is available to residents of the Borough to enable them to reach their full potential by starting in business and supporting the growth of existing businesses.

Business partners Dean Kirkham and Ross Cooney have demonstrated just that and turned their innovative idea of a fitness programme with a difference into a working business.

Real Fitness was set up to provide real results for real people. The business offers personal fitness sessions by qualified fitness instructors. It is different to other fitness groups, rather than being in one location, Dean and Ross take their classes into the community and provide indoor and outdoor fitness sessions for people of all ages.

The business has been assisted through Success Doncaster with business start-up advice, an enterprise grant and ongoing support from a business advisor.

Dean Kirkham, co-founder of Real Fitness, said: 'The help provided to us by Success Doncaster has been invaluable in the continuing success of Real Fitness. With their help we have found it easier to concentrate on providing the best services to all of our customers.'

Councillor Jonathan Wood, Cabinet Member for Business and New Enterprise, said: 'What Dean and Ross have done with Real Fitness is a prime of example of making an innovative idea work. Not only have they made fitness classes available at an affordable price during tough economic times, they are also promoting a healthier lifestyle within the Borough.'
