Next week the Doncaster Chamber Business Awards 2010 takes place with a large proportion of the short listed businesses having received support from the Success Doncaster programme, each one hoping to receive one of the prestigious awards.

This year’s event will take place next Thursday (December 16th) at The Dome and organisers expect up to 750 people to attend this popular award ceremony.

The awards are all about celebrating the success of local business in and around Doncaster and demonstrating just what businesses have achieved over the last 12 months.

One Success Doncaster client nominated for an award is Kat Communications, an all-in-one communications provider. They offer four key areas in communications; Mobile Voice & Data, Fixed Line Services, GPS Vehicle Tracking and Lone Worker Protection. The business has had support from a specialist Business Start-Up advisor helping focus on general business advice and support in networking with other like minded businesses.

Anthony Temperton, Director of Kat Communications, said: ‘Being nominated for a business award means a lot to any Doncaster business; receiving recognition like this is a great honour for me and my team.’

Councillor Jonathan Wood, Cabinet Member for Business and New Enterprise, said: ‘To see so many Success Doncaster clients nominated for an award demonstrates the talent and commitment we have amongst new and existing businesses in the borough. I wish each and every one of them the best of luck in their nominated category.’

All businesses nominated for an award will be eagerly awaiting the results next week. To find out more visit www.doncaster-chamber.co.uk.
