Glitz is an established beauty salon based in Skellow and when Director, Andrea Smeaton received a call to ask if she could provide spray tans for the cast of the recent Dancing on Ice tour in Sheffield, she certainly didn’t hesitate in saying yes!

Andrea with the help of 2 assistants spray tanned a total of 18 bodies in the space of 2 hours, including Jayne Torville, Christopher Dean and Vanilla Ice to name but a few.

‘I was very honoured to be selected for the job. The official spray tanner, Abigail Oleck who is the owner of BeauBronz could not make it and called me at the last minute to step in for her’ said Andrea.

In addition to continuing to grow her business, Andrea is one of very few nail artists in the country to be awarded ‘premier’ status by Calgel and she has continued her work with Calgel as a UK Educator attending Beauty Shows and carrying out demonstrations on behalf of the company. More recently, she has also been approached by BeauBronz to provide the same for their tanning products.

Products used within Glitz salon are some of the best beauty products available today and where possible, products used are organic, natural and paraben free, including award winning brands such as Eminence, BeauBronz, Calgel, Minx and Lash Perfect.

Andrea received business support through the Success Doncaster programme when she was staring her business back in 2007 and has kept in touch with the programme ever since!
