Having Alzheimer’s creates huge problems for all concerned especially the partners and close family. In the early stages the, what will become the caring partner knows there is something wrong and of course eventually they are diagnosed.

It is during this time the partners need some sort of support as they are arranging everything for their holiday. I have had personal experience of this due to my mother, and the effect it had on the whole family. Having run a specialised holiday company providing accessible escorted holidays for slow walkers and wheelchair users, I have used this experience to put together a series of escorted cruises for Alzheimer sufferers and their partners, where we supply support staff to enable the caring partner to have some free time so both can get the most from the little time they may have together on holidays.

We want to offer some choice, also we donate a fee to the altzhiemers society for every passenger travelling, to help with the work that needs to be done, now and in the future.
