A number of Doncaster College students and staff have won awards in recent months.

Students Nathan Alick, Amy Walker and College staff member Angie Beasley have featured in the Young Peoples Awards and The Pride of Doncaster Awards.

Amy and Nathan were nominated for their contribution to College life, the help they have given to others and for overcoming difficulty. Amy, from Rotherham and has now left the college, was on a Travel and Tourism Level 3 course and Nathan, from Thorne, is on a Animal Care course.

Angie Beasley has worked part-time for the College for four years and is a counsellor tutor. She won the Council Worker of the Year Award presented by Jo Miller, Chief Executive of Doncaster Council.

Angie set up a counselling service in the community called Tulip, which supports parents and children who strive to come to terms with terminal illness.

All three are worthy winners and are a credit to the College and the community.
