Doncaster College Students and Staff have had great fun getting involved in an array of fundraising activities and collecting loads of money for Red Nose Day
From eating bugs to camping in the woods, wearing fancy dress and baking in a Great British Bake Off challenge, all in the name of charity.
Many members of staff gave generously by ditching their normal clothes and dressing in something red for the day. Even the Principal of the College, George Trow, got in on the act by having his nails painted.
Students ate bugs for money, wore onesies and sold goodies on stalls, wore fancy dress.
Photography students took pictures, Catering students baked, musicians played. All areas of the College were involved.
The day was rounded off with music and dancing followed by the Great British Baking Challenge, where the different academies within the College competed for the title of ‘the best cake’. It was won by the hairdressers from the Academy for Commercial Enterprise.
It is estimated that the College has raised a total of over £1200 for good causes.
A College spokesperson said,
‘It’s been great fun getting students and staff involved with ‘doing something funny for money’ and in the process we have raised hundreds of pounds for good causes’ Hover over each picture for a description, or click to load larger image. | Search Villager Archives for similar articles | [Top..] |
