Mr Fox Performance at 7.30 pm Acoustic tent / music session from 2.30 pm.
As late night opening draws to a close, Mr Fox will dance to welcome the animals of the night.
This unique performance at RSPB Old Moor will take place in the courtyard at 7.30pm. Mr Fox will dance with fire and drums against the backdrop of our 18th Century Farmhouse.
Admission is by ticket only on sale at £5 for non members and £4 for RSPB Members/Children.
An acoustic music drop in session will preceed the performance in the marquee on the lawn and everyone of every ability can have a go at playing ‘boom whackers’ and joining in the fun.
Light refreshments and drinks will be available from the cafe. There is very little seating for the performance so wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.
Stargazing Extra 6 pm to 9 pm
Join the team at Old Moor and Mexborough and Swinton Astronomical Society for an evening of natural spectacle.
An exclusive event for those who want a little more from their stargazing...
Join us for extended talks and stellarium demonstration, stargazing and a good hearty meal!
Places are strictly limited so booking is essential.
£10 per person non members and £8 per person RSPB Members and Children (includes pie and pea supper and hot drink).
The event starts at 6pm and will finish at around 10.00pm.
October 28th, 29th, 30th and November 1st
Dungeon craft session (unsupervised) 10 am to 4 pm
Come and make Halloween masks and pictures in our classroom. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Free event (reserve entry fee applies). 10am – 3pm.
Spooktacular Tales 3 pm to 6 pm
Join us to make spooky lanterns before following the Halloween trail to the storytelling tent. Settle down with a hot chocolate and snack as you listen to tales of things that go bump in the night.....
£5 per child (includes drink and snack).
Booking essential. Children must be accompanied by an adult (adults go free)
November 1st and 2nd
Fright Sight! A chilling adventure at Old Moor. 6.45 pm to 8 pm
Tin Pot Theatre return to the reserve with their unique performance of Fright Sight.
Take a ghostly walk around the reserve and hear about the stories of the reserve’s history from the people who were here before.....
Tickets £8 non members and £7 RSPB Members and Children.
Suitable for children over 6 years old.
The performance will go ahead whatever the weather so dress accordingly and wear suitable walking shoes. Ghoulish dress encouraged.
Reindeer Whispering 10 am – 4 pm
Santa will be here at Old Moor with his very favourite reindeer. Santa has a gift for all good girls and boys. Come and see the man himself and tell him what's on your Christmas list and then go and see the reindeer and let them know where to deliver your presents on Christmas Eve.
Make Christmas cards and crafts in the classroom to take home to your family. Then why not have a splishy, splashy, nose tingling walk around the reserve followed by a yummy snack and hot chocolate in our cafe, or buy last minute gifts in our shop.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Reserve entry fee applies: £8 family, £4 adults, £2 children, £2.50 concessions. RSPB members free.
Booking essential to meet Santa in his grotto (ticket will be issued on payment of reserve entry), not required for crafts or to meet the reindeer.
