Paul Cross, 49, has won a signed Doncaster Rovers Shirt in a competition run by Doncaster College.

Paul, who works as a volunteer at St Catherine’s Hospital in Balby, Doncaster, entered a free draw for the shirt when he filled in an enquiry form about courses at The Doncaster Show, last month.

Hundreds entered the draw at the show and at the College Information Centre in the town centre before Paul was the lucky person to be picked out. ‘ It was a surprise, he said, ‘I went to the Doncaster College tent to have a look, filled in an enquiry form but I didn’t expect to win!

Paul, from Hatfield near Doncaster, said, ‘I’m very happy to win it,’ when he picked up his prize at the College on the way home from work.
‘I work with handicapped children at the hospital, I also work in the hospital garden and I help make hanging baskets and grow vegetables to sell in the Hospital shop.’

A life long Rovers supporter, Paul said, ‘ I will wear my shirt with pride and wish them all the best for the rest of the season.’

Doncaster College runs a host of courses, for further details phone 0800 358 7575 or visit www.don.ac.uk
