Doncaster College has teamed up with Hall Cross School for the third year running to put on a 'post-16 Opportunities' day for more than 300 learners.

The event took place at its upper school site in the town centre, where students and staff from the College treated year eleven students to a lively day of activities and displays.

Students could talk with staff from Engineering, Construction, Arts, Childcare, Catering, Creative Media, Hair and Beauty, Apprenticeships and Careers amongst others.

Angela Gibson, from Hall Cross School said, ‘The event went really well because of the detailed planning and hard work put in by the College team in advance of the event.

‘On the day itself, the staff and students from Doncaster College were superb. They were full of energy, enthusiasm and were able to convey this to our pupils. Our school hall was bouncing with noise and activity.

It certainly raised the profile of Doncaster College and as a result will encourage more of our pupils to apply for courses there.’

A spokesperson from Doncaster College, said, ‘The event was a great success and we appreciate the invitation from Hall Cross to participate once again and also for their hospitality.’
