Three members of an NHS team visited the Doncaster College recently to discuss their roles and help inspire students.
Alice Waweru, Alicia Siraj, Trish Sykes, are part of The Haemodialysis Unit at Doncaster Royal infirmary who won their prestigious (Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals) DBH Stars Annual award for Team of the Year, 2013.
The Team award was sponsored by Doncaster College and as a consequence the team were invited to meet students and pass on any tips and advice.
The three guests met with Access and Level 3 Health and Social Care students at the College’s Waterfront Restraunt and were treated to a meal cooked by Hospitality and Catering students.
Alice Wawrea, Ward Manager for the Haemoddialysis Unit said,’ It was a pleasure to be invited to talk to students about our roles in the team, what inspired us to go into nursing and what our plans are for the future. We hope our experiences will help them in the future.’
