18 full-time volunteers, from the Vol.Success programme, working in a range of placements across Doncaster College, graduated at a ceremony in the Waterfront Restaurant at the Hub recently.
In front of family, friends and colleagues, George Trow, Principal and Chief Executive at the College, handed out certificates to students. Also in attendance were Sally Senior, Head of Inclusion, and other College staff.
A buffet, prepared and served by Hospitality and Catering students, was provided for guests once the ceremony had taken place.
Jo Holt, Volunteer Co-ordinator at the College said,
‘It’s good to see young people at the end of their 35 week placement getting their just rewards and preparing now to move into a job or further education or training. This course helps them do this by building their self confidence and leadership skills, increasing their skill set and gaining qualifications.’
