Doncaster Council’s Bentley Training Centre is offering first aid awareness to schoolchildren.
Since launching First Aid Awareness for Kids last month several schools including Toll Bar Primary, Castle Hill Juniors, St Joseph’s, Rossington and Bawtry Mayflower have booked a session.
Anna Taylor year 5/6 teacher at Toll Bar Primary said: ‘It was absolutely fantastic, the kids really enjoyed it and could have done it all day. The content was age appropriate and the tutor was very knowledgeable in the subject area.’
The Deputy Mayor, Councillor Glyn Jones, said: ‘It’s really important that children themselves have some basic first aid awareness. This knowledge can help cope with the strangest of circumstances as well as more common incidents such as cuts and bruises, burns and choking. The Bentley Training Centre also offers separate first aid classes which are open to parents and carers.’
