Doncaster has once again been chosen as the place to host the Jettribe Euro Cup round 2, the Final of the European Jet-Ski Pro-class Championships and the British Jet-Ski Championship Final. The decision to select Doncaster was made due to the success of the events held last year including feedback from the competitors who were delighted with the reception they received and the hospitality Doncaster provided.

This ‘super’ final round of the European Jet Ski Pro-class Championships is being organised by the ISJBA (International Jet Sports Boating Association) and will be held at Doncaster Lakeside over 3 days: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 22-24 August 2014.

This year the event will feature 150 riders from all over Europe many of who hold world champion titles as well as guest teams from the USA and Dubai. The 3 day event will feature current UK, European and World Champions, many of who are top riders from the UK, including local riders, Jason Young and Brad Rickerby.

Following this event, the British Jet Ski Championship Final will be held between 5th and 7th September 2014 which is also the start of the 10 day St Leger Festival. The event will feature the Freestyle Jet-Ski Championships which have been dubbed the Cirque Soliel of the Jet-Ski world, performing stunts for spectators as well as ‘Iron Man’ of the water performance.

Speaking of these events, Councillor for Regeneration & Growth, Bob Johnson said ‘With over 90 teams competing from all over Europe these are fantastic events that certainly put Doncaster on the map. Competitors, tourists and visitors require hotel accommodation which in turn will bring income to the borough through catering, food outlets, retail and entertainment facilities which really help to boost the Doncaster economy’

Holding these events is not only great news for Doncaster, local businesses are also being encouraged to get involved with a number of sponsorship and advertising opportunities available ranging from headline sponsor to banner advertising.
