Keep the kids busy this half term and bring them closer to nature with Yorkshire Wildlife Trust at Potteric Carr Nature Reserve

May is a great time for wildlife; the birds are singing, the flowers are blossoming and the butterflies are beginning to emerge and this half term Yorkshire Wildlife Trust has put together some exciting events to keep your family busy throughout the holidays. At Potteric Carr Nature Reserve in Doncaster spring is well and truly in its stride and you can explore miles of nature trails, discover winged critters in the Flutter By garden and test your bird watching skills in any of the fourteen bird hides along with attending any of the reserves exciting wildlife focussed events.

Education Officer Kat Woolley explains: ‘We’ve plenty of activities this May half term to keep young children’s minds occupied – from discovering which of Potteric’s mini-beasts do important jobs for us, to delving deep into the ponds to see what life can be uncovered. Join us for what promises to be fun, interactive sessions which promise to keep boredom at bay.’

All events are suitable for families and young children. Each costs £3 per child for Trust members, or £5 if not a member and all accompanying adults can attend for free! Entrance to Potteric Carr Nature Reserve is included in the event price. Booking is essential for all the events so call the Trust on 01904 659570 or email to book your place.
