The Dome is set to be alive with the sound of young voices.

Doncaster Music Education Hub is holding a massed sing at the venue for the borough's primary schools.

More than 700 pupils will take part, representing 17 primary schools, and they will sing a number of songs together with a live band.

The songs will cover a wide range of styles including modern pop songs and a new composition shaped by some of the pupils.
Councillor Nuala Fennelly, cabinet member for Education and Skills, said: ‘This fantastic annual event will once again be a great chance for our talented young people to perform with a live band.

‘Doncaster Music Education Hub provides young people with a wide range of musical opportunities all year round. They include live performances like this one which give people a chance to see Doncaster’s talented young people shine.’

The performance is on Wednesday 11 June, beginning at 7pm. The performance will finish around 8.30pm.

Tickets, £4 for adults and £3 concessions, have been allocated to the schools taking part in the first instance however, there may be few tickets available on the night. If anyone is interested in attending they can contact: Anne McAteer on 01302 342093 or email wamc@doncaster.gov.uk
