Doncaster Council is changing the opening hours of its two museums in response to popular demand.
The changes, which come into effect on Sunday 1 June, will mean more weekend opening hours and at least one museum open to the public every day of the week.
The new opening hours for Doncaster Museum & Art Gallery are Wednesday - Friday 10am - 4.30pm, Saturday and Sunday 10.30 am - 4.15pm.
Cusworth Hall will be open Monday – Wednesday 10am - 4.30pm, Saturday and Sunday 10.30am - 4.15 pm.
Councillor Bob Johnson, Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Tourism, said: ‘The changes to opening hours are in response to public feedback which indicated that weekends were the time when most people had the opportunity to visit their local museums, particularly as family groups.
‘The museum service will continue to deliver the excellent exhibitions and events that make both sites popular attractions for residents and visitors across both sites.’
