Access students have recently enjoyed a celebration event recognising student achievement and successful progression into Higher Education.
The celebration was attended by staff and students alike who both gave thanks to learners that are undertaking a Postgraduate Certificate in Education for their commitment and support throughout the year.
Alison Kennedy was awarded ‘Biggest Maths Geek in the Department’ as well as being congratulated on her offer of employment as a Maths tutor here at The College. Students were grateful to Alison for her patience and fantastic support and guidance at her drop in sessions as well as in class.
Alison begins her employment with Doncaster College in July.
If you’re thinking of starting a course on or after 1st August 2013 you may qualify for a 24+ Advanced Learning Loan. These loans help you to pay the fees charged by approved colleges and training organisations in England.
Most learners aged 24 and over, studying at Level 3 or Level 4 or an Advanced or Higher Apprenticeship, will qualify for these new loans from the UK government. It’s easy to apply and you won’t have to pay anything back until your income is over £21,000 a year.
