Doncaster Chamber are pleased to announce that Louise Minchin will host the Doncaster Business Awards on Thursday 11 December at Doncaster Racecourse.

Louise Minchin is one of the country’s top journalists and presenters. She currently presents Breakfast and Real Rescues and is one of the main news anchors. Away from News, Louise is a guest presenter on the prime-time entertainment programme The One Show.

Now in its 16th year the Doncaster Business Awards showcase the achievements of Doncaster businesses at one of the most prestigious awards ceremony in the region. The 14 Business Award categories are open to businesses of all sizes and sectors and celebrate the best of Doncaster. Categories include: Excellence in Customer Service, Excellence in Overseas Trade, Excellence in People Development and Training and Business Start Up of the Year.

Entrants simply have to complete an entry form online which follows a Q&A format for each Award (maximum 1,800 words) before 5.00pm on Monday 8th September 2014. Only when entrants reach the second stage will the questioning become more thorough, with an interview with the judging panel. Full details of the award categories are available on the Doncaster Chamber website:

Phil Harris, CEO Doncaster Chamber, commented: ‘Doncaster is home to outstanding businesses and I strongly urge companies to not be modest about their achievements, but use the Awards as an opportunity to gain the recognition that they – and their employees – deserve. The awards are a great way for us all to celebrate and let businesses receive recognition for their hard work. Last year the Doncaster Business Awards saw the highest number of guests in attendance of all the City Region Awards and provided a great opportunity for us to celebrate our local businesses success. We look forward to celebrating business excellence again this year.’

There are several sponsorship opportunities for businesses available, from sponsorship of an award category, entertainment or drinks packages, with each sponsor receiving considerable coverage through the Chamber’s extensive Business Awards campaign.

Tickets are priced at £55+VAT per ticket or £500+VAT for a table of ten and includes a four course meal, drinks and canapés on arrival, entertainment throughout the evening including a live band and DJ, as well as the awards ceremony itself.

Tickets are available online at, or by calling 01302 640100 or email to
