The Access to Higher Education ICT course at Doncaster College and University Centre has had a very successful year, with all students on the course being offered places at Higher Education Institutions.

The course is designed to prepare adults ages 19+ for studying at higher education. Previous students at Doncaster College and University Centre have progressed in to careers in areas such as Computer Science, Networking and Forensics, Ethical Hacking, Games Design and Software Development.

Course Tutor, Pam Gascoigne said ‘The students have all worked very well, they have been very supportive of each other and I am sure they have forged friendships which will stand the test of time.’

Course representative, David Parker is planning to study Computer Security and Forensics at Sheffield Hallam University said ‘It has been a life changing experience that has made me alive again. The course is the best route to university. I have achieved much more than I thought I was capable of thanks to the tutors at Doncaster College who really DO care about your academic future. There is no better method of getting back into study if you have been out of it for a while.’

If you are aged 19 or over and interested in going to University then an Access to HE course could be for you, for more information please contact 0800 3587575 or email info.centre@don.ac.uk.
