Students from the University Centre Doncaster have recently visited the English Institute for Sport in Sheffield.
BSc Hons Sport, Fitness and Exercise Science and BSc Hons Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences (Top Up) students went to view the world class training facilities which include indoor athletics area, GB boxing centre and the world snooker academy.
Students were made aware of the range of support available to elite athletes, which form the types of jobs University Centre Doncaster students aspire to pursue. These include performance analysts, strength & conditioning coaches as well as technical coaches.
Tom Mitchell, Higher Education Coordinator for Sport at the University Centre Doncaster, said,
‘I hope it inspires our students to really explore the possibilities that are there for graduates sport science related areas. Seeing such athletes in action in such fantastic surroundings certainly gives some real context to the programmes we are delivering.’ Hover over each picture for a description, or click to load larger image. | Search Villager Archives for similar articles | [Top..] |
