University Centre Doncaster’s High Melton campus is now home to the UK Centre of Excellence for FootGolf, the fastest growing sport in the UK.

The UK FootGolf Centre of Excellence has made use of the underused golf course and is a new partnership venture between Doncaster College and University Centre and UK FootGolf Ltd.

The existing golf course at the High Melton site has been purposely designed to play at a championship standard and has undergone extensive works to provide a fantastic course set in beautiful grounds with fantastic views of the local area.

Catherine Parkinson, Deputy Principal Strategy and Resources of Doncaster College and University Centre commented that, ‘This is an exciting opportunity for students, local businesses, community groups and the general public, providing a purpose built facility for one of the newest and fastest growing sports, both nationally and internationally. We look forward to welcoming students, staff and visitors to the facility.’

Mike O’Connor, UK FootGolf President said, ‘We are extremely proud to be launching the National FootGolf Centre at High Melton which will lead the way in developing the sport, not just in the UK but throughout the World. We have already received hundreds of requests from players across the globe wanting to come and experience the beautiful facilities. Our thanks must go to Doncaster College and University Centre for having such faith in the sport and supporting the project so enthusiastically’.

The facility opened to the public on the 12th July 2014 and is open 7 days a week with the first tee at 9am and the last at 7:30pm.

Bookings can be made online by visiting and navigating to the Doncaster course page. Alternatively players are welcome to just turn up and play.

There is no age restriction but children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
